If your balance suddenly looks empty or your tokens seem to have vanished, take a breath, this is almost always a display issue, not lost funds.

Celia works in Nigeria only. If you are outside the country, your balances may not display at all. Your crypto has not gone anywhere.

Your crypto is self-custodial: it lives on the blockchain against your recovery phrase, not inside the Celia app. So even when the app is restricted for you, you can still access your funds. To view or move them while you are abroad, import your recovery phrase into another self-custody wallet (any reputable multi-chain wallet app), and your same tokens will appear there, on the same networks. When you are back in Nigeria, your balances display in Celia again as normal.

A token might be on a network Celia does not show in your portfolio view, or it might be newly received and still confirming on-chain. And if you recently moved over from the older Celia app, please read "I updated the app and my old tokens or balance are gone." Whatever you do, never share your recovery phrase with anyone while importing your wallet elsewhere.
